Strawberry Picking and the Bellingham Bucket List

My little crew and I bellingfam-bellingham-bucket-list-logo1are enjoying our second summer in Bellingham and now that I am not pregnant and unpacking (like last summer) we are enjoying many more outings and activities. A local blog has created the Bellingham Bucket List that we are using to help choose fun activities to do as a family. This is our number 32: hit up the local u-pick farms. We tried out Barbie’s Berries  (Facebook Page here) for strawberries this week because they are a family-owned farm using sustainable farming practices that I had heard good things about. We were  not disappointed! The fields are well maintained, staff was friendly and helpful, berries were delicious and the kids had a great time eating and picking and comparing berries. Here are some pictures from our trip.

I wore Silas (10 months) on my back in the ergo for a while, but bending over with a 24 pound chunked on your back picking is no fun for you or him for too long so I resorted to letting him crawl after me while I picked and he ate dirt and berries. It worked for us. 🙂

Four Generations of Family: Bellingham Family Photographer

Last weekend I photographed Meredith with her daughter, mother and grandmother in order to create a 4 generations photograph, similar to one that the family had of Meredith’s sister when she was a baby, her mother and grandmother. The grandparents were also celebrating an anniversary so while we were together we photographed the happy couple there in her home and then walked to a nearby park to get some  fun family shots outdoors. I love it when I can work with a family to use a session to accomplish multiple goals for a family. As a mom, I know its hard to get the whole family ready for a photo session, why not make the most of it? Thanks  Meredith for allowing me to spend some time with your and your crew, it was so fun!

Kim’s Pregnancy Session: Bellingham Pregnancy Photographer

A few weeks ago I got a call from a lady who was getting together with some friends to pitch in for a newborn session for their friend as a gift, which is such a sweet and thoughtful gift! One that you will treasure forever and won’t get returned! Anyways, the family also had the option of taking advanced of our multiple sessions discount and getting herself a pregnancy session to go with it!

Here are a few from our session Saturday!

Welcome Miss Elsa: Bellingham Newborn Photographer

On Saturday I spent a couple hours getting to hang out and photography baby Elsa, her big brother Hudson and their family. I loved how candid and real the session was and how Sarah incorporated heirloom clothing pieces her mom saved from when she was a baby. Leave this sweet family some love in the comments!

A dog, a cat and a new baby boy: Bellingham Newborn Photographer

A couple of weeks ago I shared  Miles’ Birth with you. Today I visited Miles at 15 days old for a newborn session. I did some posed photos of Miles and then got a chance to photograph him doing his regular thing: getting a bath, and snuggling with his mom and dad and his pets! I had a great time photographing this sweet family. Enjoy the pictures and leave some love for the family in the comments.
