Here are a few favorites from Caleb’s 9 month session in Ruston last week. What a little man!
I think he looks like a little man sitting in his Sunday best at church here. I love it!

I have been photographing Layla since she was a pretty little 6 month old and she has grown into such a beautiful little girl! Layla you are a joy to be around, thanks for hanging out me with me!

I just adore this little girl and have since her first session as a newborn 6 months ago! What a little doll!
Her daddy was outside the window in the picture. 🙂
This past weekend it was HOT outside, and humid in Ruston too! I find that heat bothers even little ones enough to make them a little wilted and less smiley for sessions. So my challenge is to find places we can take air conditioning breaks, shoot in the shade and make sure moms bring juice, water or milk for babies who might need something to help them cool off!
Madelyn was one such little trooper in the heat this weekend and she did great- especially if she was sitting with her mommy! She was definitely happier on mom’s lap, which I loved because they have some great mom and daughter pictures together! Thanks Rachel for suffering through the heat, and looking gorgeous in the process!

Ladies these are so much fun and everyone always learns so much!
Note: I am sorry to those of your photographers who have asked, but this class is for moms learning to use the manual and AV modes on their cameras to take better pictures of their own children (and in a few cases grandchildren). This is not a workshop for photographers sorry!
Here are the details!
Many of you have nice new digital SLR cameras and are using them exclusively on auto mode, just like your old point and shoot. I know how hard it can be to learn how to use a camera for the first time on your own that is why I am teaching this class! Now you can take a workshop where you are one of a small group of other moms (or dads) learning the photography basics to help you get the most from your camera and capture everyday moments.
Find out how to manually set your camera to get just what you want to take great pictures of your family everyday! Also get advice on what lenses to put on your wish list!
This is a four hour workshop limited to 6 participants. Bring your camera and your questions.
Outline
* The 10 Keys to taking great pictures of your children
* Introduction to Exposure
