Reynolds and the Carter Family (Won a free snow session!)

This past week I realized that I said I would give away sessions to people who comment on my blog, and I had yet to do that yet. SO I decided this first time to give away a Snow Day session to the person who had commented the most since I started this blog in March. I counted up the comments and the session goes to… HILLARY CARTER! Since i knew I had pictures of hers to blog I decided to wait and announce it until I had her pictures ready! Congratulations Hillary, email me about what time of day you want your snow pictures to be!

Next time I will choose a commenter at random so look out!

The Ketchum Family

I have been so blessed to get to know the Ketchem family over the past year. Between my childbirth classes, photographing their birth and their sweet little Kellen 3 times so far throughout his first year and Kellye being in the ladies Bible study I go to on Wednesdays, I have really grown found of this sweet little family. Here is Kellen at 6 months old and the whole family, just in time for Christmas cards!

Snow Day Mini Sessions!

Every year as Christmas approaches I wish I lived in a place where it snowed. Since we don’t, we are planning a realistic snow play area here in Ruston in December! We are saying “no” to fake looking, cheesy decorations and going for a fresh, relaxed fun area for children to come play in and get those Winter Wonderland pictures you’ve always wanted!

$200 includes:

  • One half hour for your children to play in our fun Winter Wonderland set up,
  • 15 or more download-able hi-resolution images from your session,
  • All images fully processed and ready to download in no more than four days after your session (leaving your plenty of time to print them for those last minute Christmas gifts)
  • Plus a special edition 8X10 winter photo mat from Unique Motifs, and
  • A donation made to Share International, a ministry to the Turkanna people of Kenya.

So get out the furry boots, mittens, and fun winter hats and sign up for a session in the snow. Sessions are limited only by time and not by number of children per family. Spots are limited so email me with your preference for a morning or afternoon slot on December 6, 7, 8th.

If you have a baby in my First Year Program, you may book a session as one of the 5 sessions in your package (N, 3, 6, 9, 12) for just $40, but unlike your normal session it will have a time limited due to the nature of the sessions.

You can use the Contact section on this site or email me at crystal@crystalgarcia.com or call me at (318) 245-2456

The Bell Family

Confession: I get really nervous when I shoot for other artists, like last weekend when I did family pictures for a graphic designer in Ruston, Donnie Bell and his sweet wife Sarah and their two super cute boys. You may have seen these two cuties in the pumpkin patch pictures, as that is when we first met! Sarah planned for us to do their family pictures at Donnie’s new design studio in historic downtown Ruston which was a great setting with big windows and lots of natural light! Here are a few from our session. Thanks for allowing me to photograph you guys, you are such a fun family!

The Tims Family

Barbara scheduled a mini session to get a family picture after taking my camera class for moms and it finally came time for the session this week. She predicted the perfect time for pictures, late afternoon on a bright, but slightly overcast day at a beautiful park with her family in complimentary, yet not matching comfortable clothing and her sons favorite toy “Ducky.” The stars aligned perfectly and there grogeous family made some gorgeous pictures. Barbara, your disk is ready, let me know when you would like to pick it up!

I love this one. Carter is taking “Ducky” to meet his duck family.
