So you though this was a blog featuring my latest work, but lately its been a blog about my kids….. well… deal with it! 🙂 Not that I haven’t been photographing hundreds of beautiful children, babies and families, I have and I will blog them, soon…..
We have had some bumps in the road as of late. The job and church we moved to Texas for turned out not to be what we thought, and our time here has been a season of loneliness and changes. It has been a good time for Brian and I. When you live in a small town like Ruston sometimes its easy to hear and talk to everyone else in town before you really get to know your spouse’s opinions and talk through what’s going on in your life. Out here Brian and I have had a lot more long talks and nights of just sitting on the couch together. We couldn’t be happier together, and I am truly married to my best friend.I know we can do whatever God puts in front of us together and I am grateful for our friendship, love and ability to work together on everything.
I have also learned living out here that I truly do like to work, and no matter how much time I have I don’t keep a clean house….sorry, but it’s true. I also don’t love to cook. I like to cook things I know the recipes and ingredients for off the top of my head, but not new things, or things I have to plan, shop, write lists for and think about. It stifles my creativity I think, or at least that is what I tell myself. 🙂
We are in a new church now, and we LOVE it! The people there are real and living out what they teach on and its been challenging and encouraging. Josiah and Autumn like the new church too and each week Josiah tells us in detail what story he learned form the Bible! I have been going to GriefShare there, a ministry for grief and loss and, dealing with my sister’s death last December and have been encouraged by so many people who have and are currently healing after a great loss in their life.
Not that you really wanted to know any of this, but I told you anyways! Many of you have asked if we are loving back to Ruston, or what our plan is. We honestly don’t know for sure. Brian is in the interview process for a job at our new church, a church we plan to attend whether or not he gets or accepts this job. He also has leads in other states as well. Moving back to Ruston still wouldn’t give Brian a job and while we are open to whatever God wants for us, we feel like we will only move back to Ruston if God gives Brian a specific purpose there or if it is a temporary place on the way to someplace else. We both love Ruston, but Brian does not want to be a house mom again, and I don’t want to be the primary income earner either. So we are just praying for God to make His way clear, and we know in time that He will.
So here’s some more pictures of my adorable, crazy, little monkeys at the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch here in Dallas.
