I would like to tell you that today I met my new friend Amanda in some beautiful park for a play date, and during our fun time of conversation and child watching I took these pictures. In reality, we met on the side of the I-5 near an overpass and let our kids watch cartoons in our minivans while I took a few shots of each of Amanda’s girls. Not nearly as heart warming, but hey motherhood isn’t glamorous! 🙂
Thanks Amanda, for bring me your two lovely ladies to photograph today, next time we will get together for a play date and have a real conversation. 🙂
I sure am loving that in our new home in Ashland (and well all of Southern Oregon), it is still spring time! Everything is blooming and gorgeous and the highs are around 74! Sorry Louisiana, but that beats your 80 and 90 degree summer that you are getting already!
To all my moms, my mom friends and anyone else who has ever tried to function on the sleep a newborn provides, feed a 9 month old or grocery shop with a toddler. A little humor for your day!
Today Autumn got a present in the mail from Gran-Z and Gramps, her very own Pinkalicious doll! A couple months ago I saw the book Pinkalicious in a thrift store and thought it looked cute, so I bought it. Turns out both Josiah and Autumn love this book and want em to read it all the time! Autumn was just overjoyed to have her own Pinkalicious and put on her tutu to celebrate! Check out the website for the book, they have a recorded read aloud of the book, games and more!
Tonight we ventured out the the Davis Shows fair going on at the Rogue Valley Mall in Medford, Oregon and we had a blast! The kids were at the perfect age, and by that I mean they were not expensive! 🙂 We picked up corn dogs at DQ on the way, so all we bought there was one bag of cotton candy and 5 tickets to do rides and activities. Most of their games are “play until you win” for kids and other than the bounce house and carousel there wasn’t much for preschoolers to spend money on. Mostly we walked around and munched on cotton candy, and saw all the pretty lights and people. Josiah also went through the fun house twice and LOVED it, plus Brian and I could each go with him for free (and the carousel too). $23 was a cheap family night out!
