Welcome to the world Victoria! My First Dallas/ Fort Worth Birth

I have been photographing births for almost 3 years now and they are my absolute hands down favorite type of shoot. A birth is what is it, it can not dress it up or pretend it is something its not and yet it is the most beautiful act a woman could be a part of, not to mention the most difficult and rewarding.

This morning I witnessed the birth of Victoria “Tori” here in the Forth Worth area, which marked my first birth to photograph since our move and my first Dallas/ Fort Worth birth to ever attend. Little Tori was a whopping 9 pounds 10 ounces and her mommy gave birth to her without any drugs or pain meds! Elizabeth and Kirk had taken a Bradley class here in Dallas and were well prepared and kept active, positive and string throughout this awesome labor and birth. Thanks for letting me be a part of your “Birth” day! I was honored! Can’t wait to see you guys in a few days for newborns!

Oh and a special thank you to Brian and anyone in his office at FC who hung out with the kids while I was shooting this birth! You are awesome honey!

Vince & Company

This past weekend I got to photograph the Vince and his family. It was a beautiful day and Vince and his big sister Alexandra did a great job looking sweet and having fun in front of the camera. Thanks for driving in for pictures Michelle! You guys are wonderful!

Peirce 6 Months

Just a shot I wanted to share, yes this is a real little chick perched on his booty! Funniest part was that he got up there on his own. Thanks to my mom and youngest brother who hatched baby chicks this year. 🙂

Triplets 11 Months

Last time I was in Ruston I was so pleased to get to see these three boys again! Seeing them grow from preemies straight out of the NICU to strong little boys full of personality was just wonderful! Jamie has always been with me on all of these boys’ shoot, but this time she was shooting too! Since they are all on the move now it was really helpful to have both of of shooting so we could capture each of the boys as individuals and all of them as a whole!

And a big thanks to my new friend Melodie for Wyatt’s (pictured above) big smiles at the end of the shoot! He hadn’t cracked a smile once the whole time until he crawled up to Melodie and then smiles began pouring out of him as they talked and played! Melodie is marrying my hubby’s best friend this summer, which means I automatically got a new friend! Plus its a huge bonus that babies like her :).

And thanks again to Jamie! You are awesome and I couldn’t do this without you!
